Position Title: DGM – C&B Level: M2 Reporting to (Title): Head C&B
Position Purpose The person is responsible for designing & developing best in class practices for compensation & benefits, performance management system and support HR policies and procedures for PI Industries. Strategic Responsibilities
  • Devise in consultation with Lead C&B and Head - HR, compensation and rewards strategy for PI Industries through study of compensation benchmarks in peer group / competitor companies and due alignment with company strategy.
  • Contribute to create and drive a performance-oriented culture at PI Industries by developing a robust performance management and pay for performance program.
  • Contribute to develop best in class HR policies for PI Industries aligned to prevalent market practices.
Operational Responsibilities Compensation & Benefits
  • Conduct periodic benchmark surveys of compensation and benefits structures for management / non management staff and make modifications in line with benchmarks and C&B strategy.
  • Develop pay ranges for all existing and new positions aligned to compensation strategy and benchmarks.
  • Devise annual budgets for compensation increases after due survey of industry benchmarks and recommend proposed increases to MD/CEO and Head HR for approval.
  • Manage administering annual / promotional increases with approvals of Lead C&B, & Head HR and ensure the changes are duly incorporated in HRMS.
  • Develop and administer pay for performance and incentive schemes.
Performance Management System
  • Benchmark the existing performance management system at PI Industries and make process improvements so as to drive a performance driven culture.
  • Create transparency in the PMS process by ensuring clarity of individual accountability and establishment of key performance indicators.
  • Monitor, review and provide support for completion of annual appraisal process as per timelines and prescribed guidelines (at business unit.)
  • Organize and facilitate normalization discussion (at an organizational level) after receiving appraisal ratings from business units/corporate and finalize the final ratings and increments.
  • Resolve grievances and queries related to PMS and appraisals
HR Policies
  • Assist in development of best in class HR policies & processes for PI in consultation with HR head mainly including key HR service policies (Work Norms, Travel, Relocation etc.) and employee welfare policies.
Communication & Training
  • Collaborate with internal communication & T&D team to prepare communication decks and training modules to facilitate implementation and trainings for HR Policies / PMS / C&B to identified staff at the business unit level.
Audit & Post Audit Action
  • Develop, improve and implement PMS/compensation/HR policy process implementation audit to gauge compliance level at business unit and corporate level.
  • Prepare and report compliance scorecard business unit/location wise and do action planning for improvement in conformance.
Measurement & Analysis
  • Conduct trend analysis on PMS/Compensation, HR policy implementation through dipstick surveys, listening posts, interactions with BHR to identify improvement areas and scope for change in practices, policies & procedures.
Financial Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain employee cost (salary & benefits) within budgeted levels
  • Ensure adherence to annual increment budgets
People Responsibilities
  • Lead professional and career development through internal / external trainings for self and team.
  • Ensure key positions in the team are staffed
Education Qualification MBA in HR from reputed management institute Work Experience Between 10-12 years of exp. of which at least 5 years should be in the area of C&B, PMS & HR policies Industry to be Hired from Agri / Chemical industry. Experience working in large Corporate / MNC driving strategy is essential Functional Competencies
