Quantum Offering Incubation, Consultant

Do you have a passion for innovation and emerging technologies along with a firm foundation in the core principles of technology? Would you like to be a part of the early-stage development of a new firm offering? We are currently seeking a Consultant who will work with Deloitte Consulting’s offering portfolios and industries to incubate and accelerate the early-stage exploration of the next generation of technology-driven Consulting offerings.

As an I&T USI Consultant, you will work with the US team to drive the development of Deloitte’s solutions and capabilities, and support strategic discussions to substantiate client business challenges, critical buying factors, key value drivers, and competitive advantages. You will help shape Deloitte’s ecosystem, capabilities, and solutions for emerging technologies across all industries and clients we serve.

Work you’ll do

• Conduct the development, design and implementation of models using machine learning or optimization algorithms
• Conduct development of prototypes, proof of concepts and solutions to bring to market
• Conduct technical research focused on understanding the "art of the possible" for our clients with regards to machine learning and optimization models
• Learn and understand technical capabilities of Quantum Computing and related technologies and support the design of a roadmap for future use of these capabilities
• Support technical development of optimization and machine learning solutions across industries and client verticals
• Work with a remote/virtual, multi-disciplinary global team to support the technical development and advancement of industry point of views, eminence, use cases, and demos

The Team

The Innovation & Technology Team is an organization within Deloitte Consulting that manages a portfolio of emerging technology investments spanning multiple time horizons. Our mission is to accelerate the next generation of technology-driven Consulting offerings. The Quantum Offering, within the Emerging Tech Incubation, will drive the ecosystem, capability and solution development to drive the impact of quantum technologies across all industries and clients we serve. Qualifications and Experience

Required:

• Significant development experience with Python programming language using packages such as pandas, numpy, sklearn
• Basic understanding of linear algebra, statistics and operations research
• Strong understanding of machine learning and statistical modeling
• Ability to mathematically program optimization models, gather required data and parameters, understand objectives and constraints, and communicate with business
• Experience in exploratory data analysis and visualization

• Demonstrated experience applying technical capabilities to transform business models, functions and processes

Preferred:

• Formal operations research education
• Proficient in Gurobi/CPLEX or similar commercial solvers
• Experience with solving optimization models for vehicle routing, scheduling, pricing and inventory management, marketing
• Ability to program heuristic solvers such as tabu search, genetic algorithms, simulated annealing
