Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate individual to join our team as a part-time online faculty member specializing in web development. This role involves teaching and mentoring students in various aspects of web development, ensuring they gain practical skills and knowledge to succeed in the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Course Delivery:
  • Design and deliver engaging online lectures, tutorials, and workshops on web development topics such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript, frameworks (e.g., React, Angular), and server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python).
  • Develop and update course materials, ensuring relevance and alignment with industry standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate discussions, provide feedback on assignments, and conduct assessments to evaluate student progress.
  • Student Support and Mentorship:
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their work, projects, and assignments.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to help students overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success and engagement.
  • Curriculum Development:
  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to enhance existing courses and create new content as needed.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in web development to ensure course content remains current and relevant.
  • Administrative Tasks:
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in web development. Prior teaching or mentoring experience is a strong asset.
  • Skills:
  • Proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks.
  • Familiarity with server-side languages and databases.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Dedication to student success and passion for teaching.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with online teaching platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Certification in teaching or instructional design.
